Having come from a 993 Turbo, you will be surprised at how much the GT3 feels like your 993. It's almost eerie sometimes at how much the dash, seating position and steering feel reminds me of the 993.

I agree completely! I refused to buy a 997/S just because of the friggin nav screen. I don't want this crap in a 911. It should have been an option just like lighted door sills (as it is in ROW), not a PCNA mandate to appeal to the Starbucks crowd...

Thanks again for the encouragement. I wish I got Garrett's wheels when you told me about them. I ordered some CCW C14s from John and he's getting them to me in time for a Tuesday DE with SCDA.
