personally i prefer the gt3, plenty wide, available in red, etc. now for the rs you get the BIIIIG booty etc, if that lights your fire, fine. make no mistake though, this rs is not in the same vein as the 73. this rs is a marketing ploy pure and simple.

Problem solved....get one of each (both at msrp) And no, I have no clout, just a fair dealer (Carlsen). Never baught a Pcar before.

Value wise:

Paint to spec (or): 5k
Carbon wing: 2.5k?
LTWFW: 3.5k?
Split control arms: 2.5k?
Black wheels: 2.0k?
Graphics: 1.0k?
No sunroof (priceless)

Looks like about 17k worth of stuff ??

The main thing is not if the RS is faster, but, does it entertain me more? The answer to that is YES. It FEELS faster than the 3, and looks better IMHO.

MOOTY!! Bras have hooks on the back ...you can unhook your bra and will not have to spend so much time chewing through them...then you won't get beat up on and be less confused what you wear is your choice, don't feel bad.....

...this thread needed to be lightened up at Mooty's expense....sorry...

Mooty: Why don't you get/build a dedicated track car? Given your level of activity - you're like, using the wrong tool.

I thought the 17k was for the orange paint, it's wider, has a bigger wing, colored wheels and other neet stuff thrown in for free. How can you dispute this car is a bargain. You can't even get orange paint on the gt3 for 17k, not to mention all that other free stuff. Just kidding, I love my rs and I'm sure if I wouldn't have been one of the lucky blessed one's to have ordered one at sticker I'd be just as happy with the gt3. They're both great cars. The dealer loaned me a straight 997s prior to receiving the rs for the day. It was sooooo smooth and quiet I thought if the rs is anything like this I'd only have it for a short time. The new cars are like a MB or lexus; too smooth and quiet. So, now that the rs is here I know it's been altered and updated but by todays standards it's a very raw car and I'm greatful it's extremely far removed from a 997s. We're all blessed to have the cars we have on this list. In fact I'm so blessed my wife and kids gave me tickets to the german F1 race. Just because I enjoyed germany so much during the factory tour. So, at the end of the day be greatful for what you have and the fact you are able to have it.

"So, at the end of the day be greatful for what you have and the fact you are able to have it."

Now that is the first thing that makes sense and is true at the same time. Well maybe the second. Frayed had a point.
