Just wanted to compare notes...so who else is running their GT3s or RS' on PS2s? And what cold tire pressures?
I'm using the same 29 psi F/33 psi R factory recommended for the nuevo MPSCs. Anyone found any better pressure settings? Thanks...

On th street I run PS2's
I'm running the pressures that are recommended for GT3 winter tires...
31F / 39R
I change the TPMS in the OBC to winter tires.
FWIW Carrera S pressures, 19inch wheels, partially loaded are 33F / 39R

I think you should be running the PS2s at 37/44, measured at 68 degrees F ( not the Cup specs, since the Cup has a stiffer sidewall). This assumes you 305/30 on the rear
For active driving, I have found going up 3-4 lbs prevents roll-over, and no slip sliding around.

Now we have 3 guys with 3 diff tire pressure settings. How does one find a definitive answer to what the optimal settings are? Would the folks at Michelin or Porsche help?

I drive an 07 C4S with 235's front/305's rear PS2's and the factory reccommended pressures are 37/44 as stated in a previous post. I hope to own a GT3 RS one day but can only dream for now and troll the GT3 forum. I don't track my car but for fairly agressive street driving around my area where the roads are pretty bad in spots I am using 35psi front & 42 rear. This seems to be enought to limit any scuffing along sidewalls but also makes the ride a little more liveable for the local roads. I realize your RS is a slightly lighter car but I think with PS2's these pressures will be fine for street driving. I should add that my TPMS has measured 2-3psi low for each tire since delivery (at least it's consistent).

I run PS2s on the track on the Cayman; 255/35/18 and 295/35/18. After some experimentation, I settled for 31f and 36r hot pressures, wear is right at the mark and the balance works for me thus far. However, that translates to 27f and 31r cold pressures that is too low, so I inflate them back to 30f and 38r for street use.

Called Michelin U.S. call center this past week to get their recommendations on hot settings for tracked PS2's...their answer; "PS2's are not for the track" so we can't respond.
Have a HPDE in about two weeks and, based on everything I've read, will start with 29/f-31/r-cold. Only consensus I've seen on rennlist is that f/r pressures should not exceed 40psi hot. Feedback welcome.

We are talking of pressures for the street...correct?? not track.
I stand by cold pressures for the GT series winter reccomdation or regular Carrera cold pressures.
One could write PCNA and see what they say for 'street use' PS2's.

I just swapped out my pzero corsas for some ps2's for the street. i ran the corsas at 29/33. Im still trying to find a good air setting for the ps2's. From what i can tell the pirellis seemed to ride better. The ps2's seem to create a choppier ride. Any difinitive air pressure setting yet?

PS2s Todd? There's a very small window of happy pressure for PS2s, low PSI they eat the outer tread and handle like crap but have lots of grip; high PSI they wear well and handle better but get greasy when you push 'em. All depends on your type driving. For my type of driving they were useless.

I dropped porsche and michellin an email as to the proper tire inflation for the ps2's. They both emailed me back 29f and 30r as per the sticker on the door sill. They said unless you change the tire size the inflation remains the same. Just thought i'd forward the information.

30f 34 r is too low for the ps2's. they roll over when pushed hard in a corner. i think im gonna step up the pressures to find out where they feel good. Hey Noel do you have a good air pressure recommendation for your favorite tires? lol
