PCCB & Heel/Toe
Anybody notice that HT is more tricky with PCCB?
At least for me, their innitial bite has made the process a more difficult process, like I've got to learn how to all over.
Anyone experience increased difficulty doing HT ??

To me, the biggest drawback of pccbs.

While in those threads I appreciated all the comments, I'd like to hear from people who actually have made the migration to heel toe in a 997 pccb equiped car. It's a whole different beast.
As already stated, I even had an experienced instructor and pro racer drive my 997S with PCCBs, and he hated the brakes for this reason. Until then I thought it was 'just me.'

At PDE, after a lap or two in an 'S' with 350mm PCCB no problem
In the GT3 with the 380mm PCCB it's like I've forgotton everything I use to know...
So very sensitive to pedal pressure inputs...Yikes were slowing down NOW!

MJones, have you tried and extended pedal and/or lifter plate?

I was going to try an aftermarket pedal, and maybe shim it higher to see if that helps. Getting it closer to the brake pedal in height should help.

No problems here, but that's because I learned H/T on PCCBs. I also replaced the brake pedal with a larger alum pedal AND layered an alum pedal on top of the existing gas pedal. This decreases the height diff between the two and helps H/T. Practice will take care of the rest...cheers!

HT def more difficult. Brake pedal w/ stainless surround too slippery for me. I have rennline peds on Cayman and will be ordering another set for gt3.
Height of gas pedal too far for me too, so will need to get lifter from Rennline,.

yes, for me, PCCB is harder to HT. but i have less than 100 miles on PCCB cars and was on street.
when i put enough pressure on brake pedal so i can HT normally, i got too much brake already.

No problem for me. I can heel/toe equally badly on PCCBs (997S) or steel brakes (every other manual-shift car I drive).
But no seriously, it's just a learning curve issue. I press the brake with my big toe while tilting my foot so my little toes dab the gas. Heel/toe is a nonissue on the track for me.
On a related note, I didn't know that 997S PCCBs are a full 35mm smaller than 997GT3 PCCBs, as MJones wrote.

What about the new one?

The only time they are funky is during a deluge. . . heavy rains can give a pucker moment when you get on them the first time after driving for a while in heavy rain with no brake application (eg., heavy rains, highway driving, hit brakes for first time after 5 minutes of driving).

I sucked at HT and I thought it was because of a lot of ankle injuries in the past. One track day with proper driving shoes changed all of that(Sabelt) I have noticed that driving on the street is very diferent(I have PCCBs) because you seldom brake that hard, don't want a Prius up your butt?

in the second pic i pressed on the brake pedal with my finger (light pressure) to show how the pedals align.
