Dealers are asking $25K over on the used GT3, so the RS will demand more in their view.

Are you one of those who try to stop such deals... along with "1whobuys" and "Paul523"?

The market on the GT3's is 10-12 over sticker, the GT3RS will probably be 15-17 over. There are some people in LA who will pay crazy money for the first few cars. The most important thing to remember is Porsche always makes 105% of what the demand is.

Anyone who pays more than a small premuim is crazy. Talk to people who paid big money in 2000 when the 996 turbo came out(the first few cars were bringing 50K over sticker)

There is no stopping such deals, but when those Dealers realize that they are losing Sales/Customers, they may become a little more reluctant to engage in the practice. Wishful thinking, perhaps!

Since my dealer burned me on my RS order I have bought a 997 GT3 and a CTTS from a different dealer. So in the long run they will lose!

Mckenna is a joke. of course they have 2 for sale because they wouldn't give the allocations to loyal customers to spec. they have attitude problem.

Maybe I should've put myself on top of the RS list at coupe of dealers when I was thinking of doing that.

Unless your name is Jerry Seinfeld to get at sticker for RS. Have you guys seen the wall of pictures at McKenna; bigger than Carnegie Deli in NYC!

Mckenna and Beverly Hills consistently battle it out for worst Porsche dealer in LA. Both dealerships should be avoided. DTLA just built a new showroom unfortunately they have a small allocation.

you guys are not fair to mckenna porsche, yes we do mark up hot cars, but it is very reasonable: $5k over for GT3, $10k over for Turbo and $50k over for GT3-RS, we do not kick out customers from the waiting least, and those who put a deposit on a car get what they order. so, please be fair

#1, if a customer ordered a car, and backed out, you can feel free to charge however much you want.

#2, if you put a customer on waiting list with deposit, and told them that it will be $X over msrp, they agreed to it, then that's fine too.

#3, but if you force them to order to a certain price point, or you charge up AFTER agreeing to msrp or if you lie (i am not saying you did, just an example) to customers that all your allocations are taken, but in reality you just want to hold the allocations for the dealership for upcharge purposes, then that is NOT acceptable.

i dont know what mckenna did, but i know many dealers that are doing #3.

There's always two sides of a medal just like two sides to a story but when all the stories you ear tend to end the same way, there's definitely something wrong.

Just do a search with your own name and you'll see......

You admit in doing this kind of practice and you just don't care, you don't care in long term relationships with your clients like Grussell or the others and you dare say please be fair........ In your book, not only you like ripping people a new one but they also have to say please!!
