no youre paying for a wing, front spoiler and lip, lexan rear window, single mass flywheel, split control arms front and rear, 44 pounds lost, longer wheel base, wider track width in the rear, wider body, and longer body, not to mention a rollcage.

From a PCNA letter to dealers:
This exciting new model is similar to the GT3 but with these unique features:
• Rear fenders similar to the Carrera4, 44mm wider than the GT3
• Adjustable carbon fiber rear wing
• Carbon fiber front lid
• Race-regulated rear wheel carriers and split rear wishbones
• Single-mass flywheel to allow revs to build faster
• Solid roof (no sunroof)
• Weight reduction of 44 pounds over the GT3
The GT3RS production begins in early 2007
The entire MY07 production will be allocated at once, similar to the GT3

The only correct weight listed is the one for the RSR. The Cup weight is not 2514 lbs, ask any Club Racer running GTC4.
I wish they made the ratios on the Cup for the street car with a 3.88 R&P as used in the Cayman.
They went crazy with the RS price, almost $150k to get it to Euro Specs with PCCB.

Price for a 997 Cup is also wrong. Price is $142,000 FOB Germany - then about $13,000 for shipping via Luthtansa air freight and import duty, plus sales tax at the airport it gets delivered to. So figure about $165,000 sitting in your driveway. Also included in the $142,000 price is a $9,000 spares package that is set by PMNA as extra wheels, rotors, pads, shifter cable, spare splittters etc...
As far as weight goes, that is the Porsche spec weight and my 996 Cup was within a few pounds of the spec weight. It will be interesting to see what it turns out to be.

The 2007 Speed WCGT Champion car (Lawson's 997 GT3 Cup) is stored at the same shop that works my car (Jon Groom Racing). I've seen the corner weights sheets from them.
Imery and Aschenbach cars are 997 GT3 Cup with modified engines, lighter wheels (BBS Mag), heavier tires (RA1). They're porky.
No wonder why Ricardo lost the drag race at Laguna Seca on the final lap against Randy Pobst in a 996 GT3.

Wow that is porky! Wonder what other mods he had in car beside fuel cell and +40 lb. That should take it back down to 2,655 or so, then fuel load? Full load would be 27 gallons x 6 lbs per gallon or 162 gallons, so with a full load of fuel he may be close.

Hi,
The sequential shifting in the GT-3 Cup car looks
like a gas. I saw this in Italy at Monza and it look
like fun shifting gears. I can not wait untill my car
gets old and I have to buy a new one.

They (RSAs) are holding their values well though so it might be worth the money in US that way, surely real (=ROW) GT3 RS will be worth much more money in the long run though.
