Ferrari---->GT3

Thinking of selling the Ferrari. Great car, but no GT3. It's sexy as hell, makes great sounds, leather smells awesome, and is pretty fast. Love the gated shifter too. But. . . . .
Coming from both a 996 GT3 and a 997S, I can tell you with certainty that Porsche offers a chassis setup that is superior. In the Porsche, as you reach the limits things get loose in a very predictable, tractable manner. Both cars can carry a lot of slip angle and as the car moves it is easy to reel back in and the car tells you what is happening with amazing clarity.
The Ferrari is visceral and feelsome, but it lacks the tractability and predictability of the 911s IMHO. In some ways, it reminds me of my S2000. Fun at 80%, but as you approach the limit, it's a handful. Words like 'snap spin', 'tail-happy', 'twitchy' come to mind.
In short, despite the obvious ownership pluses of a Ferrari, I still like the driving dynamics of the the porsches. . . and miss them.
Thinking of going with the new GT3, sunroof be damned.
Thoughts? Anyone else 'come back to' Porsche?

you funny guy you. next time we meet at the track I want a lap in the 'other' GT3.
...actually, if they all were, there would be a lot more car accidents involving 'rubber necking' lol

Definitely no turbo for me. Great car to 'do it all' street and track, but I've decided to maintain a split b/t a car for track duty and for street (gotta hault kids, dogs, mt. bikes, etc).
I'm thinking an alpine GT3 with Xenon. That's it. Maybe full leather b/c it was so awesome in the 997S launch car I owned.
I'm thinking it over and may make a decision this weekend. I talked to the Ferrari of Houston about selling my 360 yesterday; should be not problems there.

Sexy, sexy, sexy; rolling art
Engine note
Engine feel (lightweight recriprocating mass makes the car feel like a sportbike)
Exclusivity
Interior fit and finish
Gated shifter
Presence
Steering feel/steering quickness
Street compliance
Mid-engine feel
And 19 year old nubile hotties are willing to hike up their skirts just to have the opportunity to sit in Ferrari![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
---------------------
The answer which is 'better' is not clear cut, as the Ferrari ownership experience is pretty fun. It's just not as a serious of a car as the Porsches, particularly the GT3
