my RS has about same mileage. im second owner. car is in very good condition and very well maintained. not for sale. wouldn’t discount for “mileage” much if it was. and its not.
That car is pretty over priced from Zweck for the spec and miles compared to recent sales. The previous one they had on there that had just under 11k miles went for $285 from my understanding to Milesmiami. Think they had it at 295 list. 37k mile care that brooklyn motorsports had was 220 list with better specs, there was a 31k mile rennlist car on here that was 220 within the past 10 months. If you aren't concerned with a non-clean carfax the white one with prior minor rear end accident went a month or so ago on BAT with 8k miles for 246.

[QUOTE=vma1788;18895109] The RS feels clunky and underutilized in boring city situations- heavy clutch, notchy gearbox and the motor just feels unhappy sluggin' around at low rpm.
!/QUOTE]

Perfectly put! This is exactly the way the RS feels as a daily driver. It’s not a fun car to putt around town in. I find myself jumping into mine after jumping out of an Etron and immediately turning around and putting the car back in the garage. The only time it’s fun in town is when you goose the gas pedal and then I just look like a street racing idiot in an orange car. Fricken orange car! 🤷🏽‍♂️

My brain sucks. I read daily driver. Love seeing more 997s still getting used. Do it!

The RS feels clunky and underutilized in boring city situations- heavy clutch, notchy gearbox and the motor just feels unhappy sluggin' around at low rpm. That said, it is an incredible car and if you have the means and ***** to daily one, go for it and be the hero we all want to be.

I often consider getting a 991 RS because i feel i would drive it more frequently, however every time I drive mine I can't bring myself to give it up. 32k and counting- nearly 5k added in my 1 year of ownership!

We have a few things in common, I used to daily a 700rwhp supra about 15 years ago haha!

Im not far north of you and often close to long beach when I visiting my GF family. If you want to drive my 991RS im happy to let you check it out. If theres a thought you might switch to a 991RS from your .2RS id love to have first shot.

Goood luck finding any 997rs under 200k right now.
Thanks, again im not looking for something under 200K. Just said i know Im not going to find one at that price, def being realistic about the price as i know its probably going to be 200-250K depending on miles and condition.

As an actual reference point my own 7.2 RS has almost 70k miles and I would not consider selling it for $200k. Meaning, it's not for sale but if I had a gun to my head to name a price it would be higher than $200k. The simple reason for this is that I couldn't replace the car for the price, so it's just yet another reason I wouldn't want to sell. This is a specific market I'm very happy to be part of and let the values climb.

@MKIVdan is an old friend of mine from the Supra community, and I would love to find him a suitable 7.2 RS!

This is one of the reasons why I didn't accept a $700k offer for my 997RS 4L last year, those 997RSs are epic cars and I gave up a 1-of-1 PTS 997.2RS for the 4L (I would have kept it but couldn't afford to keep both back then).

Steve, you are my inspiration for the high mileage RS. Your high mileage 3RS and GT2. Driving them and using them for what they are meant for.

Im sure the right car will be out there for me at some point. Any leads on them please keep me in mind

Good deals can be had. I simply posted a WTB add in Rennlist, found a 30K mile RS that was in perfect, virgin condition, at a great price late last year. There are brokers out there who sell for private parties, and prices are less than some of the insane dealer prices. Had a broker reach out to me. Was a very nice, easy process.

I also dont expect to pay 200K for a 60K mile .2RS.

Then I wouldn’t expect owning one either. Mine has 57k miles, but it isn’t for sale. I am still having too much fun with it.

think you’re reading it with a negative connotation. He’s saying he knows that and doesn’t expect to pay that (little). Hence….

Thanks for the clarification Sam, you are correct I think people are reading it with a negative connotation.

At the end of the day, I want to get a fair deal. I dont expect to steal a car and I dont expect to over pay for a car. Value is based on what a buyer is willing to pay for a car........ For example, that car at Zweck with 60K miles, resprayed hood and fenders and no buckets is listed at $250,000. Is that over priced? Absolutely.

Really rooting for you to join the community. It really is a great car.

Learnings from our resident expert @mooty would suggest "offers buys cars."
If you are seriously looking for a driver, resprayed hood is immaterial, as along it was done properly. Even if it was not done properly, factor it into the price and make an offer if the car checks out.

I wish these cars were $20k cars, but logically, it is hard to forecast any further depreciation unless you crash the car. In my experience, it is nearly impossible to find the "perfect" 997.2 RS unless you are willing to pay collector prices. Even then... some of those cars are questionable.

The low miles white/red car that recently sold on BAT with minor accident history, that buyer got a freakin' bargain of the year.
