Awesome, thanks for sharing your story. Epic to say the least. BC is truly beautiful in all respects. Yes, a Kills Bugs Fast thread would be great!

Got the NMAuto CarPlay unit installed by a professional here in Seattle. Car now has CarPlay and reverse camera. Very happy with the results.
Who was the installer you used in the Seattle area? I'm looking for the same thing but can't find an installer.

Which kit do you have? I have the NMAuto kit. I had this installed by Ballard custom audio. Another good option if you are in PDX would be musicarNW.

I haven't purchased a kit yet, but was looking at the NMAuto kit. I live in Mercer Island, so not far from Ballard.

They are pretty booked out so give them a call. Which 997.2 do you have? cause their driveway can be a obstacle. Especially for a GT3/RS(FAL required)

I have a 991.1 turbo, my wife also has a Macan S (that could use it).

Ah the 991.1 version is much simpler then 997.2. Benchmark auto in Bellevue could do that one as well.

I've talked to Benchmark, but they won't do it anymore.

You could also try Systems Unlimited.

Yeah I'll reach out to them again. They wouldn't do the NMAuto, they use a system by ZZ-2. They were also double the cost of Benchmark before Benchmark stopped doing it.

Looks cool, but would be totally pointless in my 7.2. Wouldn't be able to hear much of anything trying to have a call or listen to music. The phone does a fine job of navigating. Maybe mine is louder than most?

I pipe the audio from my "Scenic" navigation App thru my 997.2 PCM, and crank the speakers up so I can hear the turn-by-turn over the Mezger scream. Works great for my wife & I, and we do a lot of PCA tours. That way the passenger does not have to constantly look down at paper directions (
& get dizzy in the process ).
Doing it that way also allows me to keep the PCM screen on Maps,... so I can occasionally glance down to see how long the straights are, and when the next set of juicy twisties are coming up ....
