Thinking of a way to widen the NB E88 wheel to a WB spec. There are two ways to do this.
1. Both inner barrel and outer barrel.
2. Just the outer barrel but the wheel will be 12.5" wide. Would have to get a larger tire to accommodate the wider wheel.
Leaning towards the outer barrel only to save a little cash since the inner barrels are close to $600 each.
Anyone with any insight on what a good tire to run and will I also have to change the front tires and rim width which I don't want to do, or is this not a good idea and should I just do both inner and outer barrel?

I have a solution for you, I converted a wide body set to narrow body and still have the complete inner and outer wheel halves for the wide body configuration. Unfortunately their 18” not 19” though…..

No tire choices in 18's.

I've noticed this lately too. It's either really bizarre, or I'm out of touch with the market. I used to be able to get any performance tire in 18's and now all I can find are Nitto NT01s and Toyo R888R. Neither of which make good street tires.
Rear E88 108 center 19x12 +50 3" lip 9" barrel *Add factory spacer to lower offset to +45
I went up one size to 245/35/19 up front, paired with 305/30/19 out back. I think this is ideal for a 3.6. Fronts fit without issue.
.2 GT2 and GT3 RS both run 245 and 325
.1 GT2 is running 235 and 325
Someone more in the know can confirm, but I believe these cars are also set up with more rake and stiffer rear bars.
If you're going to spend on bigger tires for 12.5 rears, why not just bite the bullet on 9" barrels and stick with 305s?
John, my narrow body .1 had the E88's in the exact specs as F50nut stated.
Working with Eric at BBS, he said there are two ways I can go.
The normal way, which is what F50 is stating with the 108's, is changing inner and outer barrels. The inner barrels are if I recall correctly, around $560 each. The outers are like $270 each. So an alternative is to just do the outer rears, changing the 2.5" lip to a 3" lip. However, doing this will turn the wheel into a 12.5" wheel, of which a 305 is too small. That's the predicament. Do I run larger tires on the back, at which point I would need to change the front tires also to keep the car in balance or do I bite the bullet and do both the inner barrels and outer lips and keep it at a 12" wheel? It's like a $2,000 change and that's not counting turning the gold into a satin black and the lips into a gloss black.
