Thanks. It was hard to see if they were installed or uninstalled on your black car

You're welcome. They will be covered by the side skirts, but the rear of the skirts, will rest up against the mud flap/guard.

I was looking for posts around GT2 side skirts and came across this post. I just HAD to leave a comment to say WOW
Fantastic job OP! Does it count as a DIY when your work clearly looks as professional as anyone out there could possible do it? lol
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the kind words @E30toF30 . It was a case of "necessity is the mother of invention..."

Sneak peek of my side skirt project. 991.2 GT3RS on 997.1 C2S.
Slow going, lots of trimming/fitting/trimming. RHS getting close. Dont mind all the well nuts on the floor. I've taken them on and off a million times haha.

Thanks to Emc2 for blazing the trail. Patiently waiting for the rear splitters

Great work! I'll be interested to hear tips once you're done. I really want to give this a shot this summer...

Nice! If I get locked down, I may attempt this as well. How much are the side skirts and could you provide a part number, please?

Are the 991.2 GT3RS skirts bigger than the regular 991 skirts?

The 991.2 GT3RS side skirts are different than the 991.2 GT3 and the 991.1 GT3RS. They have significantly more width. The GT2 RS appears to use this same skirt, dont have the part numbers though.

I wasnt completely sure I could make them fit. What gave me hope was seeing SocalTouring put them on his 991 GT3 (non RS) https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...-gt3-done.html. And then this thread where the 991 skirts are adapted to the 997. So, I figured it might be possible... A $400 experiment so far, but better than any other option I've seen.

They are not a direct fit by any means. I'll post some pics and info of the finished RHS compared to the non modified LHS once I get there. Probably this weekend.

Part numbers for those interested. $171 each + shipping.

@arscottp Thanks for sharing, and great work thus far!
That is definitely a considerably tougher mod than the standard 991 side skirts, as the RS ones are not only more flared and larger, but also much stiffer to work with.

Please do keep us posted on the progress - looking forward to seeing more pics

That is awesome! I have never understood why an option for NB cars has never been brought to market....

Keep up the innovative work all!! And I'd be a buyer if you marketed this!

After many hrs of trimming and fitting I'm 99% done. Back right needs a tiny bit more massaging, but was good enough for me to drop off the jackstands and take some pics.

I'll post some more details on the install sometime this week.

So these 991 aide skirts fit the 997 NB quite well with a little modification.

I wonder if the 991 gt3RS side skirts will also fit the 997 turbo's wb with a aimilar amount of modification and effort 🤔🤔
