Hi,
Just like the title says, do license plate LED's throw a CEL? or should I just stick with the stock halogen?

Can't image they would. Many (991) owners have switched to the LED side markers with zero issues. That's a good comp, FYI.

They don't throw a CEL. I used to have Vleds, but those were too bright.
I recently changed them out in favor of Philips 38mm festoon Bright White Interior Vision LED light, 1 Pack. They are slightly brighter than say the OEM Mercedes or Lexus LED license plate lights imo. Currently they are $9.02 per bulb on amazon.

Did the same, no CELs going on 2 years. Biggest complaint is the LEDs for the footwell have loosened a couple times inside the housing. Then the LEDs don't work. I just opened them and tightened it up, haven't had an issue since.
