Snake oil or not?? Sprint Booster

Seems fishy, they start out with:
"Sprint Booster puts an end to your PORSCHE 911-Carrera's poor performance once and for all."

I think it adds 145HP to the engine...

It does what it says it does; it increases the gain between pedal actuation and throttle response. The same effect can be had by pressing the pedal farther. If pushing the pedal farther is hard for you, then a Sprint Booster will help.
If, on the other hand, you can modulate the pedal yourself, then you will not benefit from a Sprint Booster. It does not add power.

Three Wheelin'
as has been posted. not faster, or better performance. just earlier throttle response.

Stock throttle mapping, even with sport mode, doesn't really come alive until very deep into the travel on the accelerator. Sprint Booster just changes the curve so you feel the power without burying your foot. I'm not sure why Porsche tunes there street cars with comparatively lazy throttle mapping, but they do, and the sprint booster really improves on that characteristic.
Hard to explain how much it really improves the driving experience without trying one. They're a bit overpriced, but you can buy them on Amazon, try it, and send it back if you don't like it. I don't know of anyone who's actually bought one and didn't think it significantly improved the driving experience.
Don't underestimate how much effect changing input mapping can make... eg: Imagine changing the steering ratio to be 50% more sensitive or 50% less sensitive... It would radically change your perception of how the car steers, even though 'it only changes the mapping'. Or how a brake system with excellent feel and modulation might not stop you any faster than a system with less feel, but sure is more fun to drive with.

Yeah but when you do decide to bury your foot, there is nothing more the car can give.....so depends whether you like it sensitive or linear I guess.....

Stock throttle mapping feels to me a bit like this, lazy up front, with most effect near full travel:
