This has bugged me. Needs to be done in an Alcantara matching the headliner, slightly padded. Stripe up top. Dallas Wheel will do it for $832. Seems like I could go lots & lots of directions at that price. Suggestions?
I don't know how Dallas has such a great rep. Seeing wheels here and in person shows they use crap leather. At that price just buy a new alcantara wheel or used from the classifieds. You'd never match the alcantara color going aftermarket anyway.
Send it to Ledermanz, at Latvia. Alex G. already did two steering wheels for me, with true top-notch craftsmanship and best RM quality. For him only takes 4-5 days to complete the work (shipping the wheel core via USPS takes 7 days from Chicago,IL. Shipping back from Riga takes a week with TNT). Attached the picture of my "new" well.
LedermanZ? Between $400 to $500, + $40 shipping back. You have to ship it to Riga via USPS $67 (from Chicago - basic service // No Fedex or UPS because they charge $470). LedemanZ is the place where most customer in Germany get theirs wheels re-done...and some "custom shops" who are offering "re-wrapping" wheel service, are actually getting them from Alex too. Let me put it this way, with LedermanZ you get true RUF / Techart quality...for just a fraction of their price. Only takes 20 days since the day you ship the core, and PayPal protection...

Actually, a lot of members from PFF forum (largest German Porsche forum) get their steering wheels from onpira and some other places for prices around 150 - 200 Euros.
Those Techart wheels are overdone and overpriced imho.
I didn't know that...but it's great!!! Thanks for sharing...And it's one more reason to not pay the crazy prices from those companies in Texas or California...
I'm still waiting for someone with sand beige interior to do their steering wheel in sand beige alcantara to match the headliner. I asked Dallas customs and they said they do not have that color alcantara. Does anyone know if this has been done?
