Default mcqueen

My vote is in for the McQueen Gulf leather.
The styling is retro understated McQueen cool, and there is no mention of Porsche on it...so I don't look like a **** getting out of my car wearing it. A little bit like an engineer's ring, only the ones who know will know what it's about, the rest just think sweet...and...you can have onemade-to-measure on eBay for under $200.

I went with the Porsche Underwear..... More discrete and a high impact in the alcoves....

Well, the Porsche Design store closed at my local mall. I was counting the days when that would happen.....

Of course the store was replaced by an overpriced stationary exercise bike store...Peloton. (although I'll admit, I was familiar with Peloton before and it's a pretty cool fad)

I wear car enthusiast stuff pretty regularly.. but never stuff with a brand on it. Just funny/cool shirts/hoodies from blipshift. I don't think I would wear audi or porsche branded clothing though.

My kids bought me a black baseball cap with the crest. I wear that regularly and not always when I'm driving my 911. I've never had anyone comment on it when I wore it while driving my '78 Ford pickup.

I really like some of the retro jackets in the catalogs. If I wore one of those, I'd be more self conscious about having Steve McQueen's name on it than I would any Porsche branding. The former seems more "fanboy" than the latter.

OTOH, there is some ugly stuff in the catalog with some very in-your-face branding that I definitely wouldn't wear as I think it does look a bit douchey.

Porsche branding or not, I see a lot of dopey outfits out there. To each his own, I guess.

The Porsche jacket is pretty much the biggest douchbag accessory that money can buy. 99% of people who see you in it will assume you don't even own a Porsche. The other 1% will just think you are an *** hole.

Ferrari is different because it is the national pride of Italy. Plus, people don't like dentists, and dentists drive 911s. So if you wear a 911 jacket, you are basically saying "Hi, I like to cause you extreme pain and discomfort, and stick you with a huge bill not covered by insurance! Oh, and here's a shot in the gums to make it look like you had a stroke"

wow...only on Rennlist could you find an 8 page fashion discussion around Porsche apparel....I don't know what was worst, the fact that this thread went on for 8 pages or that I read up to page 6 Slow day at work, I guess.

I am the mindset I could care less what people think. I have one Porsche winter Varsity jacket. I like the varsity look. Super warm in the winter. My other jackets are PCA related. A lot of Club Racing. Once I had someone ask me if I had a Porsche to go along with the jacket, I said "no, I have three". He smiled and asked what I owned.
