It is crazy how much 997 GTS prices have went up in even the past 6 months. Last summer and the year before you could easily get a 997 GTS for $65k with low mileage. Now they are all $70-75k if not more.
If it were a manual/coupe is would be worth $73k all day.

I would be looking for a PDK coupe. And even those are going for $70k+.

I texted him last night and was ready to bite. Doug's close friend is http://www.emiliamotors.com/ and he apologized for the false information. He was willing to help with the entire transaction and was really upset after finding the 2 accidents on Carfax. He also mentioned that he will not sell the car for that listed price. With the price adjustment and a through PPI, there might some possibility of a sale.

Yes, I basically gave up and settled for a 4S coupe. Not only are the GTS's expensive, they are few and far between.

The exhaust seems to be poking out quite a bit.

I have as well and am instead looking for a 997.2 C2S or C4S, full leather, PDK and adaptive sport seat car. Almost more difficult than GTS'.

and I never understood why...I (at least in my opinion) don't see it ant special from a normal 997 C2S

Upgraded HP, alcantara bits, center lock wheels, wide-body 2wd. The differences are significant.

I am not fan of alcantara nor centerwheel locks...widebody is another story for C2S.

Sports seats were originally on my list along with sport exhaust. I, ultimately, got neither. The standard comfort seats are surprisingly good. I am currently remedying the sport exhaust with a fister.

Options I did not consider that I coincidentally got include full leather and Dynamic Lighting, which I now love.

I would focus more on provenance, mileage, and coupe/pdk more than anything else. The amount of available clean cars seems to be diminishing. But don't panic! Or do!

Dynamic lights are a must IMO. Having them on my Mk7 GTI turned me on to them. They change the look as well. Cars will keep selling - it's not so black and white. Deals pop up.

Sorry guys. Tolga and his fiancé are like family to my wife and I. He is a stand up guy and one of the nicest guys I know.

He texted me this accident info this morning and was upset about it . . . Like 5 or 6 texts. Been busy and have not had a chance to speak to him or post on here.

Agreed. For a car with “no stories” this car already has a few stories. LOL

Wide body? Nope. Clean CarFax? Nope. No paint work? Nope. $5k sudden price adjustment? Yep.

Maybe talk to the owner directly would help. Something is being lost in translation here.
