I have owned 2 and my current has 156k miles and gets tracked HARD!! Only failure was a rear diff and it cost $800 to replace (used diff + labor). Don’t get me wrong, I love my 997, but raw reliability nothing beats an S2k. I spend $400 a year on brake pads and $800 a year on tires and get in about 18-20 days on the track. The rest is gas and oil (I go through about 2qts a weekend ).
Good point. I forgot about the S2000 . Ok then the 997 AND the S2000

Default High Mileage 997

997.1 205, just turned 135k, should see 145k by the end of the yr. Clutch at 58k (Ive owned it since 39k), water pump at about 100k, new shockers recently otherwise the rest is usual stuff.

Any transmission slack when on and off throttle? Mine does since 80k, now at 135k.... trying to understand what it is with little progress from the garage. Defo transmission related, from engine to wheels.

no question. I too own both. I have had multiple s2000 including a caged wide body with Aero. These cars spend ALL there time between 5000-9000 RPM and it’s nothing to see them with over 150k miles spending their life as track day cars. The gear box is far superior. No mystery that top gear voted it as 1 of the 10 cars you must drive in your life time. I will never sell mine.

back on topic- I have 86k miles on my recently acquired 05 c2S and plan on rolling over the 6th digit on the odometer by end of summer.

2010 C4S PDK ... 137K miles. I know many have exceeded this number. Mine continues to run like new.

I had planned on catching up to Bruce over the last 12 months. But I drove less than 2K miles instead. On the bright side, I saved thousands on gas and hotels.

There was a guy on FB who claimed over 200K but as far as I'm concerned if he doesn't show up here with pictures of his odometer he doesn't count!!!

Haven’t been driving it as much as the car is out of state now either at the folks house or at my brothers. But it’s sitting around 180,9xx. Almost 181k miles !

Love to see these mileages ! They're made to be driven and enjoyed.
72,000 currently. Bought it at 18,000 hope to get to 118,000.
At that point I'll just drive it until it drops.
Hard to put on miles - my kids couldnt take their vehicles to freshman college so I drove their (mine) cars some. Usually use wifeys grocery getter on weekends and to the beach.
Didnt work for a few years after I sold my business, then worked from home for about a year.
Parker her outside all the while as a daily driver as my better toys got the garage.
Likely all the plastic/paint/rubber will fall apart before the mechanicals.

Cheers
