Nice, that maybe one of the highest I've seen on a 997.2!
Thanks for sharing guys and that 260 k 997.1 is impressive. These cars are meant to be driven

Saw a 150k 997.2 go through Park Place in Dallas about a year ago. Sold pretty quickly.

I have an 06 with 103k. In terms of maintenance: air oil sep went at 95k. Dealer replaced. I just replaced first water pump and starter at 103k (sound on start-up if u search my other posts) myself. Last oil change sent to blackstone for the first time and they said oil looked good. I likely change oil every 7 or 8k using mobile. Not looking forward to doing plugs again at 120k. Will do differential oil and oxygen sensors then too. Hoping to put another 100k on and beyond!

Good to know, although PDK replacement makes it a suspect in the long run as manual trasnmissions typically last forever. What was wrong with the PDK?

From what I've seen, basically the biggest maintenance cost of our cars is the tires! Our cars eat tires very quickly, and it doesn't help that most buy the best performing tires, not lasting long.

All other issues, are more anamolies than anything, outside of regular maintenance. You can NOT say that about Audi or BMW (owned both), or even other Porsches like Cayenne (first gen is a nightmare)!

Since I bought the car used, I am not sure what went wrong with the PDK, but is my understanding that Porsche is not going to service the transmission here. Only replace the whole unit.

Approaching 87,000 miles. FSI rebuild was done ~10,000 miles ago. 3.6 to 3.8. Hopefully this motor lasts - based on Jake Raby's reputation, I'm assured it will.

If not, LS3 time.

The bushings are starting to feel a little loose, though. Going to remedy that with monoballs and polyurethane bushings and/or adjustable arms.

Changed the water pump at 80K as a preventive maintenance item. Had to replace the starter about a year ago because of sluggish starting. Other than that, nothing.

Should hit 96,000 within a few days. Dealership replaced the water pump under warranty a long time ago. Also had to have the clutch replaced a bit over a year ago--bad pressure plate. While in there they discovered and replaced under warranty a leaking clutch slave.

Periodically I do a run down of maintenance summaries at special mileage points. I will be writing one up soon at 100,000 miles.
