B/c I bought only the wheels, they came in their factory boxes. If buying as a tire & wheel package, then it's standard industry practice to just circular cardboard to sandwich the wheels and tie them w. nylon cording- as wight he tires, the wheels will no longer fit into the box. Tire Rack does really job, since it's their core business.
Really nice work. What is your source for the switches and hardware on the dash console? My car's previous owner really chewed up the fan and temp control switches. Again, great work and a beautiful looking car.

The parts that I replaced were all purchased from Sun Coast Porsche in FL. Unfortunately, Porsche does not sell the climate control toggle switches separately, rather they will have you buy the entire climate control unit for $500.

Alternatively, there is a company in MD called "Stickynomore" that refurbishes these switches, but you'll have to either remove the the switches or remove the entire unit and send it to them. Reference this discussion here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...997-1-pcm.html

Congrats. The car and the interior updates look great.
As you can see from my sig, I too came from a very BMW oriented garage. But there is no turning back'now...

Nice garage! Very similar to mine, except single door on the right and a double wide on the left. My walls are also painted, but in Texas longhorn burnt orange (I didn't go there, just love the color). Cheers!

Deliberated back & forth as to how to rebadge the new "duck lid". I realized that the old 997 script looks dated because it's about 1/2 inch larger in font size than the 991 series. So I went w. the 991 series "911 S". If you buy these on ebay, you will end up getting mix & match font sizes, so to be consistent, I ordered from Suncoast- they had a great price anyway! Also, I noticed that some of the Chinese aftermarket "911" emblems are affixed on the backing half-assed, so the numbers, particularly the "9" are angled incorrectly. There is no consistent info. on the internet regarding positioning of the 991 emblems, especially on a 997 application, so I went with my own measurements and style. I think it turned out pretty nice!

Here is an example of the wrong angle, I could never settle for leaving it like this...

An example of mismatch font sizes…

Nice. Is the "PORSCHE" a decal or an emblem?

Just a decal I had lying around, threw it on for fun, but I like it since it complements my red brakes.

Great transformation on the car so far. Love the red Porsche decal looks perfect on there. Only thing I would add is black stone guards. They look so good on white cars specially a retro look car with a duck tail.

to the OP. why not just go the oem P O R S C H E badging + the 991 S that you have to keep it all consistent in size/style?

I just had the decal around and was experimenting, but I like it. I never intended on doing the full 991 treatment as I feel it's a little too busy for my taste. This is noncommittal and didn't cost me anything, I can just peel it off. I just like to be a little different. It does looks great on your 911 tho!
