Anytime you can eliminate some black from the wheels to create more definition or separation, it's a plus in my book. On those, I might actually machine the entire face and lip to highlight those pretty spoke curves. You can have the face of a wheel machined for $75-$100 and will be like having a new set of wheels.
I did this with some black wheels on a BMW x5, some 928 wheels, and also bought metallic grey Audi Q5 with this treatment. Here's what I'm talking about.
