Previous M2 Comp (F87) is the way to go. Last German-made M2, and prettier too, IMHO.

Not sure about the distinction between the regular F87 M2 and the M2 competion. For all the F87 M2 was good for, having more power and more weight in competition form didn't help it . I'd say the standard F87 would be the way to go.

Yes, all G42s and G87s for the world are produced at BMW Plant San Luis Potosí. All current 3-Series for the North American market are also produced there. This is BMW’s newest factory that opened in 2019.

Very different cars. The M2 Comp has a true M engine (S55) unlike the regular M2, which had the N55 engine that was also used in some standard BMWs. Big performance, braking and handling difference between the two, along with styling. Some BMW snobs don’t even consider the M2 to be a true M car because of the engine, and consider the F87 M2 Comp to be the last of the true M2s.

So jealous. If I did that to my 911 today here in CT, the car would be one giant icicle.

Default My DD for 4 years… until the new Christmas ride comes (so now it’s for sale!)

sadly we don’t have any additional garage space.
