I need to watch the uTube vid but I’m in a loud restaurant tonight and can’t hear it without geeking out on my phone in front of my group. So.... I have been so curious to understand the “color correction” process. I have a ‘07 TT with original paint. Metallic Lapis Blue. It’s beautiful! Was happy to purchase it with original paint in good condition. It’s never had PPF in its history that I’m aware of. So of course it has its fair share of battle wound nicks on the front of the frunk and down. I’ve only recently acquired the car so I’ve been putting those new owner miles on it. Every time I detail it I feel like I see more of those road wounds. Is it just in my head? I do wonder. But after a few months of just about daily driving I’m sure I’ve added to its frontal acne. Was told by the dealer that PPF over the existing damage is too little too late. Is there an option(s) to gently correct those nicks in the paint? Is that what “color correction” is? Or should I just leave it with its mild scars and graying hair and let it be? Car does look great guys. But I do get caught up in the thought of the paint on the front looking fresh. Just want her as nice as I can get her without taking away from her authenticity.

^^^ Get yourself some touchup paint, dab all the little nics & fill-in where you can. Have the entire car paint corrected (no WAX!!), then go BACK over it again to make sure you have all the little nics filled in,.... then have the paint 9H hardness ceramic coated completely, THEN have film put on. Then have them put another coat of ceramic and hydrophobic put over top of the film (like XPEL's Fusion Ceramic, or CeramicPro's "PPF" ceramic {made for film} and top it off with CP's "Light" hydrophobic).

If you plan on keeping her for a while, many years down the road you'll be glad you did. Then you can also claim original paint on the entire car when & if it ever comes time to sell.

bigswole, your car looks awesome ... all gussied up for the prom

Interesting car RodH. Are those 5 lug rims with center caps? Who makes those? Very cool looking rims.

Love the front bumper & rear deck lid too. I was thinking maybe you needed to drill for the headlight washers,.. but then remembered that the gen 2 GT3 has a whole different tub than the gen 1 did, hence sunroof & headlight washers (or maybe that was an option, I can't remember),... so it was probably a direct fit. Well done. Looks great!

Lowered too? (I'm constantly scraping my front splitter too)

Yes wheels are OZ.

The front bumper is for the 997.1. Lowered slightly on Eibach pro-kit.

I just got the rear wing finally installed it late last night. I got it for when I run the track (since I already have the front bumper). Of course it took about 4x as long to install than I planned so I may just leave it like this instead of only using it for the track. I like the way it turned out. Still needs the gurney flap added to wing and a proper wash.

Big Swole - that's awesome. Looks like it just came out of the showroom. Jean Claude does amazing work. The other one I remember is the black 911 964 Turbo 3.6 he did. When I win the lottery I will have him do all of mine, as I know a week's worth of work of that caliber isn't cheap.

I was admiring your car this morning at the C&C event. What kind of wheels are those?

I prefer it over the aerokit spoiler. Looks more like a 991.1 GT3.
