So you are an artistic intellectual and I stay in bed all day. Wow, man, I think you need to get laid, or at least take a chill pill. I hate name calling but your comments about tint are ridiculously excessive.
To each his own, but I'm a fan. It keeps the car cool, protects the interior, offers privacy, looks nice, is a relatively inexpensive mod and is easily reversible.
It is hot as hell in Georgia in the summer and dark tint makes it much more comfortable. I also like the sense of privacy it affords. I disagree with the sentiment that it looks "ghetto." But as with all things, to each his (or her) own
Gorgeous color combo & tint. I've always loved silver/black with black trim.
Sounds like there are some new products available these days to help with the heat. Nice on Southern summer days.
Interesting opinions.
I wouldn't have expected 5 pages and counting of passionate positions on such a basic car mod that's been around for decades.
Having said that, I read every single post because I'm on the fence on whether to pull the trigger to go with a light tint on my black/black.
I have tint on my dark grahite BMW 5 and love the look and protection - no regrets.
I find even more surprising that most people do not seem to be aware nor have commented on the alternative "tint" which is clear tint.
The picture in my avatar is with "tinted" windows. That is; not tinted as in dark, but with a UV film which does a really good job as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately I have to park on most work days in full Florida sun and the difference has been pretty spectacular. Also nice is that the enitre front windshield is "filmed" (rather than technically tinted).
So I guess the best of both worlds; not "ghetto" tint - but UV and heat protection non-the-less.
FWIW; I actually like some of the tints, but thought I'd give this a try, and really lik eit!
I tint all of my cars the same way: I use the lightest ceramic tint possible on all of the side windows and one shade darker on the rear window. When you look at the car when parked outside you can see into the car with no problem, so the police have never bothered me.
I do not like cars that have the limo-tint look. That kind of looks ghetto to me because most of the gangster cars in the Bay Area do limo-tint, ala the Escalade comment posted earlier.

I'm not sure what is more pathetic, the fact you dismally failed to comprehend what I wrote and then infered a personal insult; or that in your simpleton view, sexual release is the lynch-pin of life; or that you arrogantly assume to be the decider of what the rest of mankind should and shouldn't think.

I wasn't sure before, but now it's quite clear, you sir are an idiot.
If you act like an ***, don't get insulted if people ride you.

Same here in FL...brutal heat..truly keeps interior cooler and privacy is a plus. A guy asked me some time back re: my tint, "what are you hiding from?" I told him, the heat! He drove off in his Dodge fishbowl...
