[QUOTE=Spyerx;9555691]Tint fan here. But I went LIGHT, in fact, outside you can hardly tell it is tinted in bright light, but it does keep the interior noticeably cooler. Its just a shade darker than stock and looks great on white. Any darker I don't think would have looked good.

I know tint can be pretty polarizing for folks, but I say to each their own.

Is your tint about 50%?

I don't recall, but probably. Its "light" is all I remember. I think the Med is about 35% and Dark about 20% with limo even darker at the tint guy I use.

^^^ I like the way it contrasts with exterior color.

40% ceramic tint here. It makes a huge difference in the interior temperature in the summer sun. Ceramic tint* (*more expensive than the other kinds of tint) is used more for heat/light reflection, and not so much for the "privacy" element. Note: both pics below are of my tinted car, but it only looks really dark from a sharp angle. Looking at it straight on, it's not that dark looking.

If you believe that something as benign as despising automotive window tinting is a sign someone is teetering on the verge of a psychotic break, I wonder how you get up the courage to leave your bed in the morning.

The use of descriptive language which is strongly emotional in nature is however, a hallmark of people with highly-developed aesthetic sensibility (artists, actors and musicians tend toward it), of the sort that cannot help but be revulsed by the sight of a brilliantly-styled car like a Porsche, with sheets of dark plastic pasted on the windows rendering it reminiscent of a gangbanger's pimped-out Caprice Classic.

So you are an artistic intellectual and I stay in bed all day. Wow, man, I think you need to get laid, or at least take a chill pill. I hate name calling but your comments about tint are ridiculously excessive.

I guess I resent this analogy, since I used to drive a Caprice Classic.

I have to agree with this assessment.

The only issue I have found that bothers me is trying to back up at night in a dark area. I have to roll the windows down to see where I'm going. I might remove the side window tint.
