Thanks! There's an oil leak coming from the timing chain and was told by the Porsche dealer in Houston that it would cost about $2,300 to fix. I plan on putting money into it when it gets here, that's for sure.

1.5 weeks ago actually...forgot to post!

Prepped and stored it just as the snow was starting to fall. You can see snow in the pic if you look real close.

Default Over the last week...

So about a 2 weeks ago I posted that I bought an '07 997.1 in Chicago and would be taking delivery of it in Orlando last Wednesday.
Well, last minute, I called the dealer and told him not to ship it.
I decided to fly up to Chicago on Tuesday and drive it home. 17 hours, 41 minutes, straight through. What better way to get acquainted??
Here's a few pics.

I landed in Chicago about 8:30am. I was on the road by 10:00am.
It snowed in Chicago the day before so getting out of Illinois was messy.

It actually snowed most the way through Indiana. Once I hit Kentucky, it had turned to rain and finally cleared up.

I managed to find a car wash around 6pm in Bowling Green, KY where I could get a hand wash. The car was filthy. Back on the road...

A foggy sunrise somewhere in Florida.

The car dove perfectly. I was so excited, I rolled up in the driveway around 7am and didn't even go to sleep until that night. I was washing it by 8am! haha

Over the last few days I've been doing a few little things to the car. (Clear markers, tint, sound system stuff, and the mufflers are with the welder as we speak getting the Gundo hack done.) I also realized when removing the rear wheels to get the mufflers off, the wheel lock key was missing. I got them off and had to get new locks.

Needless to say I'm still very excited about my purchase. No complaints!

Wow.. that's going to look nice. Where did you source the leather parts from?

Looks like you got some cash wrapped up in that upgrade. Good luck and post the final product.

Put my coco mats in the car. I bought the tan and black checkered pattern. Looks great and breaks up the beige interior nicely.
