Fixed the washer fluid reservoir leak.
Was thinking replace the tank, but decided to have a looksee before ordering one.
Turns out it was the seal around on of the pumps. Pump was loose. Other one not.
A new seal would prolly fix it, but the pump intake pipe might be worn too.
Figured I would silicone it liberally and see what happens - not a big deal to get to it - so far so good.

Had the 18" wheels with Summer tires swapped out for 17" wheels with Winter tires. Also fixed a slow leak in a Summer back tire, so ready for snow and the switch back to Summer tires in the Spring.
Replaced my stone guards
I replaced the stone guards on my 2005 997.1. Looked straightforward in YT videos, so I did it myself with 3M Paint Protection film. Removal of the old, cracked guards was a nightmare. They came off in small pieces with a heat gun as expected, but the adhesive took hours of tedious work to remove. Used Goo Gone and LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner, a plastic scraper, and plenty of towels. I cut new guards using a template made from the old ones, and applied the new ones in probably 10 minutes.

Are you confident however that the 3M PPF is enough protection for those particular locations? (Those areas can take a beating.) The factory material seems significantly heavier in thickness...
I guess the 3M material would be much more easily removed if it looked like it wasn't offering sufficient protection.

Oil Change! When I got the car 2.5K miles ago from a Cadillac dealer I could not get info on what they changed the oil with, so I ran it for 1000 miles and then swapped in Joe Gibbs BR40. After another 1500 miles, I changed to DT40. Now it's time to send both samples to Blackstone!
Up next:
Up next:
- Took the wheels to a local shop to get powercoated. Picking them up in the morning!. I know tons of people like the black wheel look but I felt like it was just too much. Maybe I'd have felt different if there was a silver lip, not sure. Getting a light gunmetal color.
- Numeric Shifter and Cable are getting installed Monday
- Double-DIN Pioneer Head unit and 12-channel Helix Amp/DSP along with XM receiver are getting installed on Tuesday
- In final negotiations with a RL member via a marketplace ad for Getty Duckbill Sport...that just happens to already be painted Guards Red
- Soul Performance valved exhaust ordered and scheduled for delivery in December, for $800 less than Soul advertises it for!
