I replaced my aged rock guards with some carbon fiber magnetized guards, replaced the air box and throttle body with Fabspeed Y pipe and IPD 82mm plenum, also replaced the cabin, frunk and boot lights with LEDs which is a huge difference.

Correct, i took the old ones off as i didn't trust the magnetic strength of these guards. They are rated to stay attached up to 160MPH or so.

I did the same thing this weekend with the fabspeed intake, gt3 82mm throttle body, and IPD competition plenum. I also added some wheels spacers from USP motorsports.

Are you going to add a tune to your 997 now?

Culmination of a big, ten-year, winter service for my 2009, 997.2 C4S, six-speed cabriolet with 34,000 miles.

I: flushed and bled the hydraulic clutch and brake system, replaced rotors with Zimmerman Z-Coat and pads with Hawk PC, installed 5mm front and 7mm rear spacers, changed engine and cabin air filters, washed, polished, and waxed the paint, and re-installed my freshly restored and powder-coated Carrera Classic wheels.

My local independent: changed oil and filter, lubricated, flushed and changed the coolant, replaced a scratched piece of interior door trim, and tested and inspected everything else.

All systems, GO!

HI John, I have the tune kit from Fabspeed, but have not done that yet. I took her out for drive last night and I'm seeing a pretty good difference in performance so far, seems to have a little bit much more umph right around 5K and up. The sounds is amazing when punching it from the get go. I am wondering if a tune is needed at this point?

How are you liking yours so far?

Drove it...and washed it for the first time since bringing it out of winter storage.

Jacked it...for the "job". Plugs and cols to hopefully fix a misfire issue.
While I'm at it 15/8 spacers going on.
Hoping the relatively easy plug /coil fix works.

Quick comment. These quick jacks are awesome if you don't have room or don't think you require standing height lift at home.

Took my wheels to get redone. Repainted same color of car, midnight blue and for some zing added a guards red ring on the outside of the wheel. Thought about painting the area by the crest red but chickened out. Sorry I didn’t. Wheels look great and a neat understated on the car..

Cut the rope off the cap. One miss of the hanger or it slips out of your hand, and it's gonna whack your paint!

Can you give us a link to where you got the quick lift from?
