What did you do to your 997 today?

It's fascinating to read all these 35 pages, there's no doubt this community is passionate about the brand and our vehicles, does anyone had to fight with tiny black ants? That's what I did today! and will probably do the same thing tomorrow and the day after, I guess Porsche ownership isn't always as alluring as it may seem..

Got tired of the stainless exhaust tips and decided to paint them matte black. No need for any special paint or ceramic coating or what. I just removed the tips and got some leftover spray paint. Just went for it and....wahlah! Beautiful matte black tips for no cost at all. Thought they would chip off or something since they were plain paint not even heat resistant paint, but after a couple of weeks they are still on and no chips. I can even clean them without any problems. I guess i managed to bake them on there real good.

I enabled the automatic tilting down of the passenger side mirror while reversing after reading about it in another thread here (by pointing the mirror adjustment switch to the passenger position and leaving it there).

You are right,it does look a bit off in that picture - actually it matches perfectly but I had my friend who owns the body shop apply a little extra clear to the bumper to give it more durability. In the photo the difference in reflection made the color look off a little.
