What cars have the best paint?

Anyone know of a better paint then the paint that Porsche puts on their cars? I was at Infiniti, Mercedes, Lexus, Ford and I have not seen or felt a better paint than Porsche's. Anyone else feel this way. I have a Carmona Red Metallic paint and it's really a deep vibrant color, so smooth that the towel just slides off it. The opacity of the paint, the richness and the thickness (although a bit soft and easily damageable from sharp edged objects) all lend to it's quality. I haven't seen any better paint for a car in this price range or anywhere thereabouts.

I own both an Ice Silver Audi and an Arctic Silver Porsche so I have a good standard for comparison. The Audi's paint is excellent but the Porsche's looks and feels just as good. IMO, saying the Audi's paint is "way better" is a big overstatment; they are equivalent.

I would say Mercedes has better quality paint but the actual metallic flake isn't painted as uniform as a Porsche. I haven't compared Audi or Lexus to see if they're any better. Lexus does have cool colors though.

they are all pretty bad.
quite frankly with modern waterbased paints and the factory line approach, you won't find a car that doesn't have orange peel.
The only car I've really been impressed with paint wise was the RR phantom

I have a MB E320. Tectite Grey. Not nearly as nice paint as the Porsche. I was in a MB dealership this past weekend. These are the colors in the lot - Silver or Grey, Black and White. 1 red. of about 35 cars. Is that pathetic or what? What happened to colors? Is the american car buyers so afraid of the colors that bring some life or attention. Is everyone looking to be inconspicuous? Even the manufacturers have cut back on colors. What a shame. I've seen some colors here that are awesome. Like that Blue P Car the member just clayed and polished. Beautiful.

I agree, Porsche and Mercedes are about the same, they look great but chip easily. They don't make paint like they used to. I used to have an e36 BMW M3 and it'll dent before it'll chip.

I'd say Porsche, Audi, BMW, MB paints are just about the same, metallic could be slightly different, and Porsche paint is a bit softer.
Higher quality paint can be found in Aston Martin, Maeserati, Ferrari and Lambo... but they do charge you extra for it!
