If you do it that way you don't get to feel the cars curves.

So I'm avoiding black full well knowing my 4Runner can be dirty and its ok....but my 997 will drive me nuts if its dirty all the time.

What category does that put me in?
No garage. In order to join the truly **** its a must..................
My Seal Gray metallic does not show dirt, unless you have a trained eye.
Good luck in your search and keep us posted.

Tip- leaf blow the driveway prior to starting. Also use this to blow our your front air intakes, first dry, and again wet after washing. Lots of stuff will fly out.
Works great. No drips or water lines here.

I bought a Sleeve for $3.99 which is made of Fabric and reusable. Like Al Gore, I want to do all I can to save the environment!

I can see why some of you take the wheels off to clean them. I must say it got a good sense of satisfaction cleaning the car. I then took it for a 50 mile jaunt to dry the rotors. It was a beautiful day to boot 60 degrees and sunny.
I attached a pic to prove my story!
I saw that hose spewing city water close to your car, I would be very very careful with that. It could cause some serious water spots, and if you try to dry it, streaks! I always wash all rags with soft water, and no fabric softner, or dryer sheets. I wash the car with deionized water, so no spots. Dry the car starting from the roof down, and never use a rag used on the lower 1/3 of the car for the paint on the upper portion of the car, it could carry grit.

If you are going to do that you'll have to provide online access for other members so affected to add to as necessary. I'll bet theres a Google app for that...
Then we will eventually get a complete succinct list of things that REQUIRE attention on a regular basis.

Super **** reservation: as with a strong direct stream from of water from the garden hose, with a leaf blower it may be possible to drive water into crevices ("cracks" **** ) where water's not supposed to go.

IF it's summer and very warm maybe that water will take care of itself quick enough by evaporation. If cooler season, is it possible for water to take months to dry out?

Imagine water driven into "cracks" (repetition of same joke is also **** ) into suspension components, body panels, and elsewhere. The thought of "cranny "sat"uration" makes me want to keep drying my hands over and over.

I am going to pretend I did not see a single-bucket washing set-up. One bucket?!?
