I have a very low mileage 09' C2S which came with Carrera S II wheels. Recently I found a brand new set of Carrera Sport wheels on eBay for $2500. I couldn't press the "Buy it Now" button fast enough.

Plasti dipped my classics. Atlas gray with black blue Plasti dip. I'm still undecided.

I am contemplating going black on mine as well, with my Atlas gray. I've actually been searching to see how it looks. Just not a big fan of my stock look. I kind of like it. BTW , I believe they are Sport Design?

Is 8mm front and rear spacers ideal for the carrera sport wheels on a NB and a mild drop? What size spacers is everyone running and please post some pics with spacers if you can.

As with any color choice discussion, subjective topic. I've had a number of different wheels on two black 997's. I found silver too much contrast and black not enough. To me, the best color wheel on a black 997 is something in between silver and black. Like the "midnight silver" on my current GTS which may just be a different name for gunmetal. Looks close enough to gunmetal to my eyes.

The gunmetal does look really good.

Swapped out my sport designs for these Carrera Sport wheels I bought from the classifieds here.

I kept the same spacers I had on my sport designs. 7mm front and 15mm rear.

I’m going to keep the 15mm for now until I decide to leave as is, go with a smaller spacer, or lower the car a bit. I looked everywhere on this forum for pics with this setup and there are only a few out there.

Will post better pics later but here’s a few

Yep the sport wheels are a solid look on my C4s and will stand up to pretty much any other wheel although i have been getting a weak spot lately for the OZ Leggera HLT ..... That is the only other wheel i would swap for a slightly different look. As for cleaning the sports they are no big deal to clean , You just need to perfect your cleaning process with the right wheel brush.

My fav factory wheels on a 997.

Your photos look good, and I'm a bit surprised as I'm running 5/10mm spacers and think the rears stick out a bit. I would think 7/15 would really poke out, but ride height and camber also come in to play.

Here is another great looking car with Carrera Sports and 5/10mm spacers...

No Fuch'n way - Fuchs look stupid on water cooled cars - They belong on the 911SC or 1980's Carrera.
IMO Sport wheels or Lobsters are great on 997 w/H&R springs to lower 1.5" and allow PASM to still operate as intended

Yup.... absolutely loved my Carrera Sports. The 10 spokes, polished lip, 8.5 + 11.5 wider rims and they always reminded me of the old "Mini Lites".
Have OZ's now, but will always admire the Carrera Sports!
