Another satisfied Carrera Sport customer. I use the original wheels for winter tires. But I had no need to put them on this winter. We rarely have snow in Vancouver proper, but I usually throw on the snow tires just on the basis of cooler temperatures. Amazing difference in wet & cool traction between winter and summer rubber.
Alex - I'm suprised you bothered with winter tires this year. The shock troops were taking all the fun out of Whistler cruises with all the Olympic fun and games...

Got it, that's what I thought.
Just ensure the spring rates are not far off the stock, as spring/shocks are matched on stock suspension to work together perfectly.
In terms of how low, if you look at my pics, I think the 10mm (0.4 inch), is PERFECT. Low enough for sporty, good looks, and not too low to scrape off every bump on the road. I wouldn't go much lower than that.
Also for the spacers, how big? ensure you're not going too wide as the wheels are already widest OEM wheels you can get and you're not widebody!

For reference, I've added an OEM 5mm spacer in the back and running 305s. It's flush with the fender lip. Maybe a 7mm in the rear...max ??

Hmmm...I'm running the 295/30R19 rears...and was advised the 15mm should be fine (both vendor and my local Porsche dealer). Oh well let's see what happens next week when I install both.

Maybe their advice is for the narrower wheels. I also agree max 5-7mm in rear. Let us know how it goes.
