What MODS would you perform first on your 997?

Three Wheelin'
What wheels are those? Too much motion to be sure, but they look like RUF? Nice. Or are they just blurry Carrera Classics?

Curious?
You wrote it so i have to ask? what does that mean thet "you grew up after you did Aero? Does it mean you got older and cared less about how you (well your car) looked? why.....
Stock these cars are so bland (not talking turbo or GT2, Gt3 etc) that without some tasteful exterior mods its hard to fathom they carry a near six figure sticker price new. As much as I love to drive, the driving experience I also very much care about the appearance of an auto....
Besides that agree with your mod suggestions...

I think the best mod is driver in these cars.
Over the past year of tracking, I have learned to drive this car as it was meant. I also saved the car from a 90º spin on the street when i hit a patch of algae water on a back road going 60 mph. If it was not for my track driving experience the car would have been a crumpled piece of metal. Instead I made my breakfast date (but didnt need coffee anymore).
But I love modding, here is a list of mine in chronological Order:
Rennline Pedals
Fabspeed COI
GT3 Front Bumper
GT3 RS Rear Wing
GT3 Front Control Arms (Best mod for track)
Race Alignment
Center Exit Race Exhaust
Center exit GT3 Cup S Rear Bumper - 100% Carbon Fiber
Double adjustable JRZ Suspension
RSS Adjustable Sway Bars
RSS Droplinks
ERP Toe Links
Sparco Corsa Race Seat
Agency Power Roll Bar
OEM GT3 Harnesses
18" Track Wheels
Every mod was methodically planned and thought out. Every mod I would do again and has the most bang for the buck.
Im very happy with the result
Is this for everyone no, but every mod was done with one question: Will this mod make a difference to my car or do I just want it??
If the answer was NO difference, then i would not do it.
But my car is more Track orientated.
For comparison, this is what it looked like when i got it:

To each his own . . .
I like the traditional 911 shape without a wing as far as pure visuals go. So did the Porsche designers hence the automatic rear spoiler.
The wing makes sense on the GT3, so much so that I now have the RS carbon fiber wing on the GT3, since it is basically a track only car now.
But I like the pure look of the 911 profile, so for me the C4S stays aero free for on the road use.
But if you like wings, go for it, it is your car.
Just be aware of Abe making fun of your car

First of all we ALL know that DEs are a great investment but the OPs question was just hypothetical on what you would do if you modded the car. No reason to lecture about DEs vs parts.
Aero is not cosmetic to me. I was once a high spirited drive once and I forgo that I had the front splitter off. The front end really lifted dangerously. So if you ever plan on drivng over 120 aero is purely functional.
NEVER GET PERSONAL plates!!! I have a friend who was turned in TWICE by people easily remembering his plate. The CHP almost wrote him a ticket, dont know how legal that is but why even worry about it.
You know how people are always challenging you on the road. One hot head and you too could be getting a visit when you **** off someone because they are jealous.
As far as MODS go I would drive up to Sharkwerks and get all the advice I could get.
1.But the 1st step would be the Sharkwerks bypass as many have suggested.
2. Next I would get what ever GT3 goodies I could get for the supension.(control links, dropout swaybars, and GT3 aero.
3. after that the car is so good I dont know what I would do. But there are plenty of little things
I would get my wheels blacked. then maybe track wheels.
4. Ask Sharky about the 4.2 l upgrade? Really though after having a TT and 2 GT3s THIS 997 is plenty fast enough for me!!

Check out the Fabspeed upgrades that we have available. Simple bolt on replacement for the primary muffler is a nice way to increase the sound a little and make a nice 13+ HP and TQ increase. We also have our dual tone mufflers for additional power and more sporty and aggressive sound. The mufflers will not be compattible with the sport button option but you wont need to worry aobut that since it will sound great all the time. Our intake makes a really nice sound improvement and also makes a 12+ HP increase througtout the RPM range. Check out the videos below.

cheap looks?
I personally am not part of the we.
I have to laugh at this post as the GT2, gt3, 997TT, factory Aero oem etc....is more exterior cladding then almost any import (use the right term) out there....more then any 350z or s2000 or even GTR... and the new gt3rs with its graphics, colored accent parts, massive wing etc.. and so forth.
Now personally I like the work done by Porsche in this area (except the graphics on new gt3rs, thats sad...) but its kind of a strange comment that you made referring that adding exterior aero like mods will make the car resemble a cheap import? Almost the other way around would be a better case.... add a giant wing to your import and some cheesey graphics and may resemble the new gt3rs? I mean even the old school 993 turbo wing is referred to as the Picnic table its so massive... the 993gt2 front chin spoiler that wraps and curls up the sides is pretty heavy and on and on....
I am a porsche owner and love P cars but will never be one of the haters of all imports, well just because they are imports...
Mod away... and post pics...

Nordschleife Master
I have an 09 997.2 and have been looking at adding a few mods to my car.
Currently in the running are the following:
TechArt Front Spoiler for 997.2
TechArt Side Skirts
I would also like an exhaust that provides the ability to turn off and on with the sport button like the PSE.
If anyone knows of something similiar please chime in.
Thanks in Advance.

2. SUV stance elimination (coilovers or springs).
3. Exhaust.
4. Wheels.
