Default 997.2 Rear Brake Light

Does 997.2 rear brake light flash when you brake?

If so, is that too "flashy"?

God, I hope not - that would be embarrassing.

I wondered the same thing - I've seen some tuner (can't remember which one) video about their exhaust systems and when the car hammered the brakes, the LEDs and center light appear to do a "panic stop" light show. I thought "Hmmm, I guess the 09's have something to warn those behind that this is not a casual stop. But, I haven't heard anything from the guys at the track during threshold braking saying "Hey Ron, your car lights up like a Christmas tree..."

they flash on the fabspeed vid's cause the video recorder is reading the wavelegnts of the LED's making it look like blinking..

no panic stop, i thought the same but got corrected.

rijowysock - "they flash on the fabspeed vid's cause the video recorder is reading the wavelegnts of the LED's making it look like blinking.."

Thanks for the answer. I hope you are right. I don't want my car doing that...

stevepow - "God, I hope not - that would be embarrassing"

I feel the same way...

All of our videos with the new 997.2 have flashing brake lights because of the shutter speed on our HD camera. A normal eye cannot see this flashing at 1/30 of a second, but an HD camera filming at 1/2000 of a second will actually break down the wavelength and appear to "flash" to the normal eye in the video.
