When I was in high school around '82-83, my dad had a Ford Fiesta. I loved driving that car and could smoke a front tire endlessly while modulating the e-brake. That car was my Friday/Saturday night cruiser for about a year and I have no idea how it held up to the relentless runs to redline, e-brake turns, smoky burnouts, etc. It just motored on without complaint. I even remember a company called BAT, Ltd. that made a bunch of hop up parts for Fiestas. Everything from headers, exhausts, cylinder heads, carb kits, etc. I was never happier than when I was flogging that car with my crazy friends. Simpler times...
