Obviously some plates are far worse than others in this respect.

I was just trying to explain my view of why our Porsches tend to make others act crazy. It's partly the car, but mainly how it's being driven (IMO).
I saw a C6 corvette conv today with the license plate "livinxl" and thought, what an a..hole. generally vanity plates don't bother me, problem is most good phrases are taken I asume.

But 16 will get you off the hook in Massachusetts, after you've gotten off with the babysitter, right Dave?

There are many aholes in every part of the country, the world for that matter. Pretty soon they will have there own protective class status.
I say that anyone that makes character assumptions based on the make of a car a person drives is a shallow person. I drive faster than the posted speed limit (like many do) on highways and interstates but I also drive defensively. If someone thinks I’m an ahole just because I drive a Porsche they can eat sh*t and bark at the moon for all I care. Life’s to short to be concerned about what other people think.

And when did personalized license plates become vanity plates anyway? Many of these personalized plates are like riddles or tell a story like the plate I seen on a sweet Porsche many years before I was able to afford one myself that read NOT2OLD. When I drove past the car I could see the drive was a white haired old lady who obviously was proud to have a Porsche. Is there anything wrong with being proud? I’m proud! I’ve wanted a Porsche for more than half my adult life. I’ve worked hard and made sacrifices to get to this point and now I FINALEE have a Porsche. A lot of people don’t like “vanity” plate. WTF is up with that? Why would anyone declare that? Is that something to be proud of? That reminds me of people that say “look how he is wearing his pants that looks stupid, or “they look ridiculous with all those tattoos and piercings. Why would anyone waste their time getting worked up over someone’s license plate or how a person wear his clothes or what make of car he drives?

I mostly experience the average horrible driver whether I'm in the 996 or the A4. It doesn't seem to make much difference. Fortunately I haven't experienced too much of the ricer challenges, but there has been a couple. I did have an SUV cut in VERY close on my tail yesterday. I had my windows down so I gave him the left hand wave like WTF. He just flipped me off. Oh well.

As far as people being jealous or think I'm an a**hole for driving a Porsche. I worked hard to get to a point in my life to be able to own a P-car. I don't own a 911 just because it's on a list of things to acquire. I've wanted a 911 since I was in my early 20's. I'm 45 now. Life is about the choices you make. If other people are jealous, it's likely they didn't make the right choices. If that's the case, too freakin bad. It's not my problem if they don't have the ability to realize their dreams. As far as cutting me off and doing dangerous things in traffic, they can stew in their grief for all I care.

I had a honda go by me once on the HWY and then flip me off. I was doing about 90. I was like, what did I do? Who knows what is going through peoples minds. Yesterday I was out to dinner and on the way home I came up on an SUV taking up two lanes. So I came up pretty close on his left rear end and when they moved over I went past at a pretty good pace. I guess he was thinking "what an a$$hole" But I was thinking "move over" Oh well. Plus my wife was in the car and she got scared..... that was funny.

Anyone can be ********. I was in my car last night and some other teenagers in a 10 year old honda accord began chasing me. Just put space between yourselves.
