Had a pool of coolant fluid under the car. The level in reservoir still looks normal. I drove it for 75 miles, no warning lights and the temp did not go any higher than 175. Any similar occurences?
if your search "coolant" in 996 forum, you will have some intesting readings.
long story short, M96 engine is pressured cooling system, and plastics along the line fails some time. coolant tank is the biggest suspect. u can't see the leak when the car is stop, since no pressure to the system.
one would think porsche should fix it long time ago since the boxster age....
ALL coolant systems are pressurized and a sound system should hold pressure/vacuum overnight after shut down. Might have been a fluke belch. Test your system by removing the coolant cap several hours after shut down. If you do not hear a vacuum when the cap is removed, look for a loose hose, cracked tank or cap.
