Your Sunroof
How important is it to you??
Do you use it alot?
If the car didn't have one would you care and still buy the car?
Would you have ordered one if it were an option?
I ask for your comments since NA is the only country where it comes as standard equipment.
Myself I can count the # of times I've used it in 18 months on one hand and would not miss it.
Your comments please....

I've always used sunroofs frequently in all of my cars that have had them. I prefer fresh air to AC, and prefer the sunroof to an open window. If it's between 68F and 75F...which it is most of the time in West LA...the sunroof is usually open.
However, you can't drive the 997 with just the sunroof open due to the horrible buffeting, and when mine's open it thunks over every bump. Dealer hasn't been able to fix it. I probably wouldn't pay extra next time if it was an option...and definitely wouldn't on a GT3. It's sacreligious that it's mandatory on the GT3, especially the RS.

I love the sun roof and would order the car with it if it was a option. It can't be opened if you are going more then 70mph but then again most people wouldn't want there windows open either at that speed. For cruising around town sun roof open windows down is the only way for me. Maybe I feel this way because I went from a convertible to a coupe.........(love my coupe)

Use the sunroof every day and typically roll with windows down. It was a "must have" option for me. Took a pass on Cayman S because it didn't have one. Sunroof switchgear not as user friendly as dial on my 04 S4.

Nope.
Used it in the first week of ownership and that was it. I also had that misalignment problem with it during that first week, if you guys will recall, that I fixed myself. Haven't used it since. Wish it had been possible to delete from my order in the first place. Makes polishing and waxing the roof a pain in the ***.

Have always loved sunroofs and would use it almost all of the time as the windows open is usually too noisy and windy in most cars. this car with the sunroof open, is for some reason incredibly noisy. There is almost no combo of window/roof opening that is either not a loud roar or really windy. I recall being able to do crazy speeds in my E55 with the roof open and no bother at all.
One funny thing is that I had a crappy Ford Taurus company car (I think it was an '02 or '03) that I could have the driver side window all the way down and almost ZERO wind would come into the car at almost any speed LOL. The only good thing about that car!
