It's nice to see that my ordered car is at the top of the list.

I don't see a Lexus on that list. I don't think that list is very accurate.

911 resale drops off rather fast. I don't think it's in low supply either. Maybe S is harder to find but there are certainly plenty of non S.

I agree. Public perception has not caught up with reality. In the past Porsche resale values held up as well as any car. Today because of Porsches' marketing strategy (sell as many models and cars to as many people) Porsche's resale value is no where near what it was. Used 997's are selling far below (in some cases almost 30%) than MSRP.

I would wager this same organization will claim the CGT has the best resale value of all the Supercars.

Is this the same Nick Berry from Rennteam? The official, permanently disgruntled Porsche 911 web troll. Do you think Forbes magazine simply took an informal poll in the employee lunchroom to obtain their results?

Please show me, sir, where I can buy a used $90K msrp 997S for $63K -- got my checkbook out and ready.

The best deal I've seen on a 997 not 997S was for $64k at Valley Motors in MD. I'm aware of that car because I missed buying it by about an hour.I called to schedule a test drive but when I got to the Dealer, I was told that someone had just put a deposit on the car. The car was only moderately equipped and was originally listed at $71K by the used car department at Valley Motors.

The 997Ss that I've seen listed by Dealers are all in the upper $70s low $80s.

Actually this "study" is based on a comparison of MSRP to the 36 month residual PREDICTION, which, as it states, could be high or low (no foolin'). It seems this is more of an advertisement for their forbesauto.com partner site than a scientific study. Nice to see Porsche on there, but alas I think the study is likely not very reliable (it would be better if they published past records of how precise their models were).

both billy and ms co-founder paulie have 959's

link to paulie's 959

and that the cayman - not the 997 made "the hot list" (no mini cooper either ben)

link to "the hot list"

both the cgt and the 911 made "sports cars we recommend" list!

Being new trumps. And my Odyssey made the resale top 10.
Guess I had better sell it before it drops of and is replaced by a lesser people hauler.

This just posted on another site. Give him a call.

think they are very off on their forcast.

I've been working a trade for my 05 997S Cab with a $118,000.00 sticker and all it is bringing for trade is $77,000.00 to a high of $84,000.00

A $34,000.00 - $41,000.00 hit for a one year old car with 6100 miles is not a top re-seller to me....

Sorry, these car are tanking and will continue to tank on resale value.
There were 13 S Cabs sitting on 1 dealers lot yesterday.
Porsche is flooding the market with tha 997's.
The supply and demand advantage is gone.
Thanks Porsche...you Suck!

BTW wait until the 997TT hits the streets. Your resale values on the base 997 and 997S will plummet even more. Hey, its your money. Believe what you want to believe. It doesn't change facts.
