nothing nearly as exotic as "hole mover" or "rocket scientist".....
Former drug dealer, and now just a humble student of the contemporary scene, living down by the river in a van....

synergistic medicine
To AS and OCBen as well as to others that may have an interest:
Synergistic medicine is a term that I made up to describe the way that I practice medicine. Although most call what I do "alternative and complementary" or "wholistic" these words do not go far enough to explain the way that I practice. I will just as easily prescribe a drug or reccommend surgery for someone who is expecting that I give them a supplement as I will do acupuncture, prolotherapy, manual therapy and teach meditation for another who is expecting I give them a pain killer.
Synergistic medicine uses many tools without favoring any system. It can include "alternative and complementary" therapies such as acupuncture, intravenous nutrition, chelaton therapy, photoluminescent therapy, prolotherapy and meditation as well as those considered "conventional" such as modern diagnostics, surgery and prescription drugs. Synergistic medicine aims first to do no harm and to find the true cause of the problem and, if possible, achieve a permanet solution.
Most chronic and degenerative diseases are a result of multiple factors affecting several body systems at once to a greater or lesser degree. Heart disease, for example, involves a malfunction of the heart and blood vessels but also usually involves systemic inflamation, gum disease, elevated blood viscosity, insulin/blood sugar imbalance, human growth hormone, thyroid and testosterone deficiency. In addition, stress and lifestyle play a key role. Giving a blood pressure drug without treating all of the underlying causative factors and promoters is like turning up the heater in your car when it overheats. It may work temporarily but it will never fix the problem.
In conclusion, synergistic medicine views disease as a complex of causative factors and promoters and strives to find the right combination of effective therapies that will bring about a complete and permanent cure. Another way of describing what I do in medicine is : 1+1=10.
p.s. Synergistic medicine does not involve the dispensing of hemp but if it helped my patients, I would not be against it.

Very interesting, Doc. I like your enlightened approach to health restoration.
Now about that prescription for medicinal purposes only (California requires one).
