Dave, I wanted to get that system, but I wanted the carbon fiber housings on it so it would look better with the seal gray body color. The dealer couldn't get me those, so I just use Rejex on the side markers 3 times / week. Seems to work pretty well.

Yes.
I did get the auto-massaging seats though and full size spare tire.

Every car from 1968 - up sold in north america HAS side markers - just some are integrated into headlight / taillight housings.
i.e.
No seperate side reflecters, however, the headlights / taillights wrap around a bit and that's where the reflecters are.

Federal DOT regulations require front amber and red rear marker lights. The amber bulb in a clear marker satisfies the Federal requirements. Some states require that the marker be amber in color so your clear marker might not be legal in your state. Since amber markers are legal under Federal regulations and are legal in all fifty states Porsche only uses amber markers for U.S. cars.

This is the way it was explained to me.

The car comes with amber lights, so all you need to do is change the lenses to clears. Unless you want to go all the way and get the lightbulbs with a silver coating that look clear when off, but burn orange. (I thought about doing that but came to my senses and realized I have better places for my $$$.)

I here ya. My brother just did that to his M3, the silver bulbs that burn orange. Was not too pricy (all things considered).

Tim, I think the amber looks better on Speed Yellow. I'm not changing them either!

Sad thing is my car has been knocking on cold mornings, and even I am up to mid grade
