CONGRATS DUDE!
You had a vision and a healthy obsession AND you made it work. Serious kudos dude.
But I read today in the NYT that both Sirius and XM are predicted to close up shop permanently within the next 12 months. I'm not sirius of course.

The Details
Let me start by saying that I am quite happy I did not tackle this alone. Quite frankly, my tech did all the work. I watched and took pictures. The install was done at my house in Baltimore County, Maryland
My tech has been employed as a Porsche Service Technician for something like 27 years. He knows his stuff - real well. He did this for me "off duty" and to protect his privacy, I will not reveal his name.
I am happy to tell everyone that he will accept hires to do your install, on his days off, starting immediately. If you are interested - and only if you are seriously interested and ready to pull the trigger - PM me and I will give you his contact information. You can talk to him about pricing - I am out of the deal. No commissions for me, etc. I am just excited to have this luxury so if you want it too and you want it installed by a knowledgble installer for hire in the Baltimore area, just PM me.
Now, for the details. I cannot provide you with a DIY. Why? Too many steps. I am talking mundane but important steps. Suffice to say that most of the hard part involved removing the cowl cover. There are lots of wires, hose tubes, brackets, and other stuff that must be unplugged. The wipers must be removed. All the plastic you can see in the trunk must be removed. And then all the parts must be retrofitted. But I will provide you with the basic steps, with pictures. Starting in the next post.
