Help with the Seatbelt ****!!
Hi
Is there any way to turn this chiming noise off ( apart from the obvious of
strapping myself in)??
Is there a specific fuse to remove, and if so does anyone know which one?
TIA
(BTW, before you feel tempted, I *know* that the easiest solution is to strap in )

like someone else has said, other manufacturers have figured this out by simply putting a delay on the warning chime or at least deactivate it while the car is not in motion.

You know, in America, no one is ever responsible for their own actions, someone else is always to blame, especially if they have deep pockets!

It's just that no other manufacturer (that I know of) does it this way and if it really is a problem I would think that the litigation conscious auto industry would all have dealt with it. As it stands Porsche is the only car I have ever driven that gives me this warning after I have pulled into my driveway and come to a standstill. Very annoying.

Maybe this is obvious to people but the car is so computerized you can make it do anything. Buzzing you when the seatbelt is unlatched is just the beginning. It's gotta get worse, right? When insurance companies start telling mfgrs to program the thing to buzz and squeel when the driver puts his left foot on the brake or when the car is parked on a slight incline and the emerg brake isn't on. It's gonna be like there's some permanent PITA passenger who's got nothing to do but warn you of every possible "danger" however remote it may be.
