Carrera S and Carrera Springs CLEARED UP w/ PASM
Ok boys and girls...
I made some phone calls after everyone was pumped on Riotgears pics of his Carrera with H&R springs. I spoke with H&R and TechArt. Both respectable opinions. TechArt told me that the springs for the Carrera and the Carrera S with PASM is the SAME SPRING. You CAN run with lowered spring on the PASM suspension and the computer will compensate for the change in ride height and still do its logic to perform correctly. They also said that you can also run a FULL coilover setup, you just "Unplug" or disconnect the PASM. TechArt did say there is a difference for the Manual and TipTronic, does not make sense to me, but we will say that these are for 6spd MANUAL right now.
As you have saw, we have the H&R springs available for the 997. We are checking to make sure we have plenty to fill orders as I am sure they will FLOOD in now.
Also TechArt has springs coming next month for the 997.
H&R Springs
Drop 1.2 inches
$339.99+ shipping
TechArt Springs
Drop 35mm
$650+ shipping
You want some...?

Can you verify who has the correct info here? I've also come across information saying that the TechArt springs are made by Eibach. Can you verify this as well? If so, then the two known manufacturers of 997 springs are H&R and Eibach, is this correct? Personally, I am only interested in lowering my 997S just a small amount, so of the two, the one that lowers the least is what I'm looking for. But I won't buy until I know for certain what it is I'll be getting.
Thanks for your research.

They dont have them instock. And they only have 1 part number that they are using for either PASM or non PASM. We have some good friends their at CEC and checked ourselves. TechArt is an engineering company, so probably has Eibach or someone make them. H&R would be the way to go!!!

Sounds good to me. Do you know of any owners of 997S's who have had the H&R's installed? As soon as I see a pic of how they look on a 997S I'll make up my mind and order a set.
