JLJ, ..who is using the family brain cell right now?

Porsche tests cars in temperature extremes to test the car for all markets, as another poster already wrote. I'm sure the CGT was tested in winter conditions, as was the GT3. Excuse me for not being there with a camera at the time http://www.afana.com/images/rolleyes.gif

If you think that road doesn't look slippery, I'm guessing you live somewhere where it doesn't get that cold. Normal tires are like hockey pucks in sub-zero temperatures.

They do on this planet, but I'm guessing you haven't spent much time in this solar system.

Here is a pic of a GT3 being driven in REAL SNOW. I look forward to you eating your words.

Hey rocket scientist! (you know who you are)

Here is a GT3 running in a rally in the snow: http://www.rallye-magazin.de/duez.wmv

I guess you feel a bit silly now. Bwahahaha

Holy crap! Can you say, "Car control"? That is a kick ass piece of video and the sound of that BEAST raises the short hairs!

Very adult & relevant comment bro? I think this thread has outlived its usefulness.

Wow, that last video of the rally was great!

Sorry if I got carried away :D

This has turned into a soap opera of a thread...there are two sets of spy photos being circulated as possible gt3 test mules. In my OPINION the white ones could be the 997 gt3 and the purple ones the 997 TT.

The run of the mill 997S surprised most of us with it's performance, it was discussed in the same breath as the 996 gt3. The 997gt3 obviously is going to better both the 997S and the 996gt3 (dhuh!). The $100k question is what happens to the posers who bought the 996 gt3, just to show it off as the best and the true driver's porsche, when they can hardly extract the limits of a sedan...it's a dilemma. Now, the poser is not going to have the "best porsche" anymore, for most of the true 996 gt3 aficionados could care less, as they know they have one of the most incredible car ever built.

How ever, the poser goes through the stages of denial, ANGER etc.....in time it will be acceptance, not coerced..hopefully by themselves, or through professional help.

What good is the rennlist membership if one couldn't jump into this soap opera wagon, and i am happy to do my part ;)

I hope the GT3 has a wet sump, just to see all the self proclaimed" purists" barf.......

Long live the wet sumpers and RMS club members, the new breed of Porsche purists!!!
