well if anyone needs to feel better about it, realize that reviews have said it feels identical to a GTS, which feels almost indiscernable from an S, and having owned both a base and an S - them two also are 85% in similarity.
So there, I saved you $600k.

Apparently, it is in the US- the first one ever brought in "legally".
The auction description states that it has only 65 "road" miles- the balance (1050 miles) is emission dyno testing mileage to allow importation.
While the *debate* will continue about the special model 997 value, it will likely fetch closer to $1M than $.5M.
*Speedster vs 997 GTS RWD Cab (and the sub debate of a 6MT 997 GTS Cab vs PDK only 997 Speedster)
Sport Classic vs 997 GTS RWD 6MT (PDK not offered on Sport Classic)*
PAG sure likes to stir the pot when it builds Speedsters, Rs and Sport Classics and offers them with only one type of transmission. Even they cannot decide which tranny goes with which "purist" model. Did the 991 GT3 Touring offer a PDK? Cannot recall.

@Liste-Renn 991 GT3 Touring is manual-only.
Given the 1 of 1 in the US nature of this car it's a 7-figure auction I'd think.

Looks like it went for $643k! Less than I would've guessed.

I guess there was no premium for it being physically in the USA.
Very strict mileage limits, may as well just 3-D print one and display it in a Man Cave. (I jest.)
