Default 2010 997.2 Sport Classic - PCarMarket

I've always thought of this variant as the ultimate 997 (for me at least).

It will be very interesting to see what this one brings.

Beautiful! As I search for a 997 I come across so many uniquely optioned cars.

That is an awesome model. But the fact that is has only 385 miles on it is sad and the current bid it 350K. The car is not being enjoyed.

Make no mistake about it- the seller will enjoy the large premium over MSRP.

This is an elegant, retro version of a RWD 6MT LSD PSE 997 GTS with PCCBs.
Unique due to bespoke paint and leather, stripes, pipes, rear bumper, tach logo, doorsills and a double bubble roof...and one cannot buy the OEM ducktail from PAG without a Sport Classic VIN and a picture of the damaged one. (The Getty design one is damn close, though.) And 1 of 250, to boot. The "Fuchs inspired" non-forged wheels can be bought from Porsche.

With < 400 miles, it should hammer well north of $400K.

Porsche Warrington (in PA) has one of these on display. What a gorgeous car and one of my favorite 997s. It's good that I'm not in a position of bid on this car as I'd have a hard time not putting lots of miles on it.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe the prettiest of all 997s.

Man, holes drilled in the bumper and everything.

Love that steering wheel.

Amazing car, and the pinnacle of limited edition 997's in my opinion. But if this car stays stateside, I'm not sure it can be registered or driven much beyond it's 345 miles because it was never legally imported by Porsche. It looks like it's in the states on a Show or Display exception which limits the mileage to driving to and from exhibits and/or 2500 miles a year.

The GT3 RS 4.0 is the pinnacle of limited edition 997s, though Porsche produced more of them (600) than the Sport Classic (250). The RS 4.0 is regarded as one of, if not _the_ best driver's car. The GT2 RS, at 500 produced, is quite special as well.

Hoping it stays stateside. Unlikely the future owner will drive it more than 2500 miles per year.

I hear you and I agree, but I've just seen multiple GT3 RS 4.0's in the flesh, and the fact that the Sport Classic is effectively unobtainium in the States adds to my personal position. It's not just a normal 997. It has specific sheetmetal changes to the body like the double bubble roof to allow for helmets.

To my personal taste, the look, refinement of a GTS, wheels, seats, ducktail and overall package of the Sport Classic is the ultimate limited edition 997. Just my personal opinion.

LOL, like a helmet would ever see the inside of one of those cars.
