Dynavin 8 Pro Radio Navigation Porsche 997
Hi everyone.
Replacing the stereo in my 997 no bose and wanted to get some opinions on the Dynavin 8 Pro Radio Navigation. Looks like I could spend a minimum of $700 on a comparable head unit and then $250 on a trim kit that matches or I could buy the Dynavin as one unit. Has anyone put one in the 997 and is it a decent unit. Any pictures would be great. I want the stereo to look as factory as possible but not wanting to wait for the Porsche classic unit. Thanks for any input.

I'm also curious and considering one myself. I have a 997.2 and don't want to wait around forever for an official PCCM+ version, especially if it lacks important functionality (i.e. wireless CarPlay) like the 997.1 version. I wish the 8 Pro had a volume ****, but the volume buttons are better than nothing.
I'll also point out that if you type "Dyanvin" in the search bar and switch the drop-down from Threads to Posts, you'll find some 997 folks that have installed older versions and seem happy. For example, you'll see a 997 owner installed the previous version (the N7) in this post. Elsewhere, a 987 owner posted their 8 Pro install.

Just be aware, losing that volume **** sucks if you don’t have an Multifunction Wheel.
If you’re 997.2, go with the NM Auto CarPlay/Android Auto unit.

Just had mine done last month (along with reverse camera). Works flawlessly with the Bose system. I do wish I had a volume ****, but it’s not a deal killer.

Yes, My installer put a microphone underneath/behind the rear view mirror (very clean). The USB jack is run into the glove compartment. I know some people have put them on the passenger side of the center column with a flush mount, but my car has full leather and didn’t want holes cut into it. The camera is activated when I shift into reverse.

I just installed my Dynavin 8 in 2006 C2S today after losing faith in the back order for PCCM+ (and also become fed up with the stock head unit radio).
It works very well and the install was extremely easy. It works well with the bose system and the best part is your can equalize out the massive bass boost that it comes with. Finally the music sounds like music not just *thump thump thump*.
Wireless carplay works well... it takes a few seconds for it to connect to the phone, but once connected works flawlessly. I also like how the main interface is android, and I already installed youtube and a few video apps just in case my son needs some extra stimulation on longer drives.
Would very much recommend.
