Arrrggggh, I'm really lusting after one of these but having an issue dropping nearly $1500. Nothing pre-owned seems to pop up on Ebay, Rennlist or PCA classifieds for V1 with launch control. I do see at checkout there is a place to enter a coupon code. Does anyone know what that code is or where to find it? Looks like it's on backorder and takes several months for delivery. Help me out nation, what should I do?

They do not offer discounts last time I emailed them back in Oct 2022. Give them a call/email - Tom was very responsive to answer. May ship out earlier than what's posted on the site.

They were about $1175 when I purchased mine in 2020.

The only two points of consolation that I might offer with the current price is:

1) These things transact used like currency. I sold mine (after selling my 997.2) in less than 2 hours here in the Marketplace.

2) It was the best single upgrade that I made with my 997.

Well worth the investment.

I saw one in one of the 997 groups on Facebook for 1200, unfortunately 3 days after I bit the bullet and ordered one direct from DSC.

Just buy it. It is well worth it... I am not sure there is anything out there that for this price, addresses what makes a sports car a sports car: handling. It takes 15 minutes to install or de-install... cripes...

They made some changes to the boxes and programing a while ago.... better to make sure you get a recent unit... just because.

If you have a 997.2 with PASM...best $1200 you can spend. A no brainer that you can sell for full price if you don't appreciate it or sell your car.
I've sold one that a friend didn't want in his 991.1 GTS. Got full price including shipping, in one day on RL classifieds.
If you want an OEM PASM control box for free, let me know. I would never reinstall it, even if selling my car- especially to a friend or fellow RL'er.

As a warning, the box is different for 997.1 vs 997.2. They are not interchangeable.

Additionally, the .1 cars require that an accelerometer be added.

Thanks Wayne, yes I know I need the V1 with launch control and the Facebook advertised one will not work for me . Current price on the website for what I need is $1400 plus $84 sales tax = $1484

As already discussed, expensive, but single-handedly transforms the car to what it should have been from the Factory. Worth every penny.

Join the 997 Enthusiasts facebook group - I believe there is a member there that sells these new with a faster turnaround time. I can't recall his name but put up a post and he will respond. Actually I just checked, it's Andrew Chung

Being the honest person I am, I returned one when they accidently shipped me 2 of them when I only paid for 1. Just buy it, its worth it!
