2009 tails + flimsy melting plastic PCMs of the 05-08 cars, weird.

I was just about to say the say the same. BTW, the article in the link points out that "This car was used as a press vehicle until the death of the original owner, a racer from Puerto Rico..." and it so happens that I knew this person may he RIP.

I understand it can serve a purpose at speeds over 100mph but I never liked Tails or earlier 911 Whale Tails. No offense to anyone but I always thought they dumb down the car and looked stupid.
Glad the rear wing folds down and tucks away on most models. Leaving the nice rear rounded body design.

The rear spoiler is actually shaped like a full width duck tail and if optioned with the active aero package, will raise to become a biplane wing for additional downforce like the TT cars do. I retrofitted Erams to mine to do this and also make it less boy-racer when parked. But, it's the RGT rear bumper with pass through exhaust that really makes it all work together IMO.

Aside from the power, the bodywork is my favorite part of the car.

Oh, and mine is silver for Groove

At what speed does the tail actually help with down force?? I remember something like +100MPH

No idea. Comes up at 75-77 like the others do. If it helps over 100, mine helps often.
